# Uchaguzi FAQs

### What is Uchaguzi? <a href="#what-is-uchaguzi" id="what-is-uchaguzi"></a>

Kenya is holding elections on August 9, 2022. We shall use Ushahidi software for the Uchaguzi project. The goals are to: share the information from the crowd, verify details and respond. We give voice and amplify issues by describing and mapping reports. Uchaguzi, is a joint initiative between[ Ushahidi](http://www.ushahidi.com/), and [19 other partners](/uchaguzi-support/what-is-uchaguzi/uchaguzi-2022-partners.md) . We are collaborating with our local Kenyan-based and global community.
